- One 14 x 48 rectangle for the body.
- One 14-10 x 24 square* for the head.
- One 12 x 24 rectangle for the neck.
- Four 10 x 24 rectangles for the legs.
- Four 4 x 6 squares for the knees in a darker color.
- One 7 x 14 square for the hump
- Two 7 x 3 ( or 4 x 6) squares for the ears.

- Co 14 st and knit 10 rows
- R11: k5, ssk, k2tg, k5.
- R12-14: k12.
- R15: k4, ssk, k2tg, k4.

To make up:
The body
- Stitch the body piece along cast-on and cast-off edges and run a gathering thread around the open ends.
- Pull gathering thread, sew one end, add the stuffing and close the other end.
- For the hump sew the square on top of the camel's back adding stuffing just before sewing it closed.
The legs
- Stitch all 10 x 14 rectangle parts lengthwise, pull a gathering thread through one end and leave the other side open to add the stuffing.
- Sew the open end of the legs to the body.
- sew on the knees in a rounded shape.
The head
- Fold the square in half and run a gathering thread at one end and shape the other end to look like a head.
- Add stuffing through the open side and pull gathering thread before sewing it shut.
- For the ears run a gathering thread along the long end and pull forming a crescent and attach it to the head.
- Sew in the eyes and nose.
The tail
- draw three threads on the top back and braid it leaving the end fraied.
Decoration
- get three colorful yarn pieces and braid them.
- put it around the neck and fray the ends to shape a ball.
